Trust me when I say that i8 is one of the best value for money spots I’ve tried in TO. The quality to price is insane and the rice has always been prepared well. The fish quality is outstanding. Fantastic new sushi spot. The portions are utterly massive and so carefully crafted with quality ingredients. I got the Maki Combo and was not expecting the portion size -- couldn't finish a third of my meal even though I came in hungry! I was very pleased by how delicious the flavours were and how fresh everything tasted. The Yokocho roll with scallop is by far my favourite!! Service is extremely courteous and attentive. This has quickly become my go-to sit-down spot in the area.
We decided to stop by here after one of our daughter’s extra curricular activities for dinner. The size of the portions are very generous for the price. The food is pretty delicious as well. They accept American Express so that’s a plus. Overall, we will come back as time permits.
Freshest fish downtown at this price! I came in here pretty late one night last week after spotting the interior decour while walking down Dundas. Was extremely delighted by the atmosphere, service, and food quality. I live in the neighborhood and will say that no sushi place I've been to around here matches the freshness level of i8. On top of the quality of food, the interior vibe is wonderful. The decour and design is aesthetically pleasing and along with the great choice of music gives off a contemporary, relaxed, and hip Japanese restaurant atmosphere. The staff are also very lovely and welcoming, making the entire experience from start to end a joy. This is a really lovely addition to the neighborhood.
Came here with my family for lunch one day. We brought our baby who was quite fussy that day but they try to accomodate us as much as possible which we appreciate. The food was all super delicious and great! Fairly fresh and pretty good value. Would recommend and come again!
Delicious sushi from a new restaurant on Dundas. We ate: scallop sushi, eel sushi, karaage appetizer, pressed salmon sushi, and salmon toro sushi. Everything was very tasty. The scallop had a rich, buttery flavour and was plump and juicy. My favourite and I’ll be ordering this again in the future. The eel sushi was also very good. I find that many restaurants use too much of that brown sauce but here, it was just a drizzle so you can still taste the eel. It was also cooked very well. Grilled to perfection. Definitely recommend visiting if you’re craving sushi. We will definitely be back!

Amazing quality for food at this price. We had seafood fried rice and BYO Sashimi combo (25pcs). Both are delicious and they definitely gave more than 25 pieces, even added extra salmon belly that we didn’t order and upgraded the tuna. Staff is friendly and helpful. Nice environment with authentic Japanese restaurant vibes. The staff said they sometimes have DJ performance as well. Will definitely comeback again.
